16th Annual Go Red For Women Luncheon Enormous Success

A crowd of over 800 Long Islanders attended the 16th Annual Long Island Go Red For Women Luncheon on Wednesday, February 15, 2017.  The sea of red could be seen throughout all the rooms at the Crest Hollow Country Club in Woodbury.

 

This year’s honorees included Cary Carbonaro, Certified Financial Planner, Managing Director, United Capital, Joy Fernandez, Managing Partner, Ernst & Young, Long Island Office and Rita DiStefano, Director, HR Consulting Portnoy, Messinger, Pearl & Associates, Inc. Our Community Honoree was Premier Cardiology.

 

Those in attendance also heard from stroke survivor and national Go Red For Women spokesperson, Lisa Deck.  Her story of surviving 5 strokes was an inspiration to everyone in the crowd.

 

“Participating in this event was an inspiring experience.”  said Antonia M. Donohue, Chair of Banking and Financial Services, Practice Group, Jaspan Schlesinger LLP who chaired this years’ event.

Tamsen Fadal, PIX 11 News Emmy Award Winning News Anchor did an amazing job as event emcee.

 

The American Heart Association’s 16th Annual Go Red For Women Luncheon combined an elegant luncheon reception, incredible auction and networking opportunities. The Luncheon featured educational breakout sessions presented by recognized and credentialed healthcare professionals, providing women with information, resources and hope to take action and live a longer, stronger life.  The 2016 American Heart Association Go Red For Women Luncheon is nationally sponsored by Macy’s.
